Why Must This Story Be Read? This fic is so tight. The author begins from the relationship given to us in the manga (Gokudera doesn't really care for or respect Yamamoto; Yamamoto, of course, is oblivious to this and simply wants to be friends) and skillfully builds it up through interactions based around music trades. downjune gets so smoothly into the characters' heads. Gokudera isn't just prickly and off-putting--that's on the surface, and a defense mechanism. Beneath that, he's insecure and uncertain. Yamamoto isn't stupid. He's a lot more observant than he's often given credit for. (At one point, Gokudera pointedly tells him that he can't really understand the value of music mixes, to which Yamamoto responds, "So tell me." It's more cutting than any of Gokudera's insults.) Watch for a sharply in-character Hibari as well.

Why Must This Story Be Read?: Brit Columbia may be my favorite writer of FAKE fanfiction, and this may be my favorite story of hers. Brit's Dee and Ryo are so in character they could be canon, and in this fic all aspects of their relationship are explored: their friendship, the love Dee feels for Ryo, and the powerful emotions preventing Ryo from allowing himself to return those feelings. And of course I enjoy Dee/Ryo smut as much as the next girl, but this fic fully makes up for its lack of sex with quality. Funny, sweet, and introspective, it's everything anyone could want in a FAKE fic.
On a side note, this fic contains my favorite lines in all of FAKE fanfiction: "Dee looked away from Ryo because he knew that if he did, Ryo would then look at him. Sometimes he felt as if he spent every waking moment trying to make Ryo look at him."

So, I know I promised a longer entry, but my life hasn't slowed down enough since NaNo ended. And, apparently, I am a giant douchmonkey and I forgot to tell just about everyone that I was going on vacation with 'Isha's family to Anaheim this week.

So yeah, I don't know if various California peeps will be in the area, but if you are, we'd love to get together. We'll be doing a lot of family stuff but there will be times when we're free. You can reach me by any means, because I have my phone and it has full internets.
So I'll be blogging from Anaheim the next week or so. I can't wait! I've never been to Disneyland around Christmas time and I've never been to Universal Studios at all. Lots of new stuffs for this trip! I might be posting video too so keep an eye out for it.

So I just finished watching the whole series of Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon. FFFF----!
It was pretty epic. The Special Act episode was a cute touch. It also made me ass-happy that the 4 Generals were still alive. Seriously, I think the reason why I loved the whole series so much was the continued on featuring of Kunzite, Nephrite, Zoicite, and Jaedite! Shortie Jaedite being my favorite (or Jadite, however you wanna spell it. The translation I watched kept spelling his name different in each episode! o.O)! Nephrite dying made me bawl like a bitch. I informed Jo of this and she laughed at me saying everything made me cry! Then later on when Beryl was all emo-ing and staying in the Dark Kingdom while it was collapsing and deciding to die there, when Jadite said he would stay by her side and she gave him like... a real smile... and reached out for him! OH GOD THE TEARS! THEY WOULD NOT STOP! WTF IS THIS SHIT! I bawwwwwled like a bitch!
On another note, I didn't care for Usagi's white princess gown. It was bland and ugly. And the crap with Venus! HO FUCK SON! DIDN'T SEE THAT COMING IN A CHILDRENS SHOW! Also, it annoyed me how they never explained why Mars hates music! In the manga she loves music and singing but in PGSM she's all raeg at it! D:
I haaaaaaaaaated the whole Sailor Luna crap. Sure the kid was cute and everything, but it was just... bleh. Her whole transformation into Sailor Luna was like a pedos sick joke or something. Her being in the white leotard and doing ballet moves while on a cake o.O and then shaking her rear and licking her hand and rubbing her head. Yeah, a bit toooo weird. Specially when you consider that going by Sailor Moon manga cannon she's an older lady of about 25 years old. So... yeah... but thankfully she wasn't SUPER annoying. And from what I've read, Sailor Luna was only thrown into the show to appease the masses who wanted Chibi-Moon in the show. WHICH I WOULD HAVE LOVED.

My X-box 360 has died.*cries* I guess I most of worn it out playing Dragon Age for ages at a time. Luckily it's still under warrently so Microsoft will fix it for free and If not replace it with a new one.
Cross Edge is quite a fun game, it helps that I've played quite a few of the games that the characters come from.
